Vector Communications expand Auckland fibre footprint

Nationwide business data network provider Vector Communications has dramatically expanded its Auckland coverage.

As of 14 July, the company can now connect more than 10,000 Auckland business addresses to its fibre network, a more than tenfold increase on its previous coverage.

For Vector Communications GM Greg Davis the step up is big news: “As a New Zealand-owned company we’re big on helping businesses connect and drive the local and national economy. This move extends our reach well beyond the CBD and large commercial hubs into more places where Aucklanders do business.”

The move means even more businesses can connect via Vector Communications at speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s, making the offering ideal for data-heavy applications and cloud-based services.

The extended network covers more than 10,000 business addresses in areas including Albany, West Auckland, the North Shore, South Auckland and more and is available immediately via Vector Communications and its resellers.
